Apple released its music streaming service Apple Music on Tuesday. Even though the company posted a dedicated tab on its website, some of Apple Music’s features remain a mystery for you to find out.
One of the service’s main uses is the ability of downloading songs for when you have no internet connection. Just like Spotify, Apple Music enables you to enjoy songs when your device is offline.
But how do you do it? Well, let’s assume you already updated your iPhone or iPad to iOS 8.4 and have the new music app that runs the new Apple Music service (and decided to give the 3-month free trial a go).
Use the search button on the upper right corner and look for an artist on the Apple Music tab. Select your favorite album, and once you are looking at the tracks, locate the “…” button – it’s below the search button on the right.
All you have to do now is press the “Available offline” button on the options pop-up. If you just want a song, when in the album press the “…” next to the track you want to download.
This way, you will be able to have an album or song on your device and enjoy it while running or on the train without an Internet connection.
