Apple announced during the WWDC developer conference in June that Apple Pay would be available in the UK “soon”.

And, as several rumours pointed out, Apple pay is now available in Great Britain.

But what is Apple Pay?

Apple Pay is a contactless payment service provided by the Cupertino company that allows you to make payments in different stores using just your smartphone.

There’s no need for taking your wallet and card out of your pocket. You just point your iPhone to the capable reader and wait for the store to process your payment.

Apple Pay is available for iPhone 6 and Apple Watch, to use in “hundreds of thousands” of stores. It is also available to use inside different apps from the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3.

Where will Apple Pay be available?

Apple lists on the dedicated Apple Pay website a number of partners.

Some of these include McDonald’s, Nando’s, Starbucks, Boots and Costa. You can see the full list here.

When can I use it?

Apple Pay is now available in the UK, as you can see on the dedicated website.

How does it work?

Apple Pay is already available in the U.S., so here a video to see in action:

Now, you will know how to use Apple Pay once it arrives in Great Britain. I hope this article was useful, let me know in the comment section below.
