Jetradar

I have been monitoring flight prices for a trip to Europe, but prices seem to go upwards every time I check. I already talked to you about Hopper, an iPhone app that keeps an eye on a flight price reduction for you.

What if you want to compare different airlines to get the best deal possible? I think Jetradar may be of great help.

The free iPhone and iPad app lets you compare different airline services to get the cheapest flight to your destination. Open Jetradar and allow it to use your location – this way, the app will be able to find the nearest airport.

Introduce your destination on the search bar, the number of people flying with you and if you are looking for a return ticket. Select the desired dates for your departure and arrival on the pop-up calendar and tap on the orange “search tickets” button.

Jetradar will do it’s magic – a funny airplane flying to your destination makes the wait less boring – and give you a list of providers and prices.

Best app to compare airline prices

As you can see on the top right corner of the screen, there is a tab called “best flights” that displays the cheapest and fastest options.

At the bottom of the screen you will find history, new search, favourites and passengers buttons to make your trip planning a lot easier.

Jetradar even has journey time and stopover duration bars to adjust your flight to your needs. You don’t need to leave the app to buy your ticket – everything can be done inside the app.

I consider myself a traveling enthusiast, so this app joins my selection of planning tools. Did you like Jetradar? Let me know in the comment section below.
