OK, the new iOS 9 public beta is here. Apple just released the second beta of iOS 9, and it is available as an over-the-air update or a software download through the public beta website.
It took me 10 minutes to download and install the update, and I have to say I was impressed. Apple wants to make software updates as light as possible.
After my iPad Air 2 had stopped showing the Apple logo on the screen, I was able to introduce my pin code and start using the tablet.
To be honest with you things look the same compared to the first beta, although I have to say the interface runs even faster than before.
The native email app used to show a glitchy two-sided screen on iOS 9 public beta 1; the app now runs pretty smoothly.
Although, I have to point out that The Guardian app doesn’t load from the beginning, and inside videos don’t show the picture-in-picture button anymore. YouTube videos inside Safari still display the PIP button. Videos run like butter once you are on the Home.
I have to use iOS 9 public beta for a longer time to notice the improvements, but I would say Apple has made things run faster.
