WhatsApp officially brings the middle finger emoji to its Android messenger

A while back I told you that there was a way to use the middle finger emoticon on WhatsApp for Android.

To flip off someone on Facebook’s owned messenger you had to either go to Emojipedia or copy the emoji from somewhere and past it on WhatsApp version 2.12.197.

Now there is no need to head to the website and “steel” the emoji. You can use it right from WhatsApp’s Emoji section.

All you have to do is download WhatsApp 2.12.208 on your Android tablet or smartphone, or wait until the update is available for your device.

If you want, go to APK Mirror and download the APK file. Then turn on the installation of unknown sources inside the settings section of Android – just remember to turn it back off to avoid the unwanted installation of spam apps.

Once you install the update manually and launch WhatsApp, open a conversation and go to the Emoji section.

Give the middle finger on WhatsApp

Scroll down to see the middle finger, between the Star Trek hand and the guy walking funny. Select the tone of the skin of the hand to start giving people the bird.

I like WhatsApp openness, although it makes me wonder if the emoji will see the light in the iOS version of the green and white messenger app.

What do you think of the update? Let me know in the comment section 🙂
