Facebook enthusiasts from around the world: Moments is finally here

Facebook lovers have one more reason to stick to the blue and white social network. Moments, a new app that makes sharing photos a lot easier, is finally available around the globe.

Moments has a brief tutorial on the things the new Facebook tool can do. Available as a free, and separate app, Moments “syncs photos with friends”.

The “best” thing about Moments is that privacy is on top of the features. You can choose the pictures you want to share and select the friends that will get them; Moments assures you the content you share won’t be seen by anyone else.

Moments needs permission to have access to your camera, and notify you when your friends accept the photos you’re sharing. The next step is to tap on “Find friends in my photos” and let Moments do its magic.

Select the photos you want to share, and “sync” them with your Facebook friends. They will have access to the images you share only if they download the Moments app – if they don’t have it installed on their phones, the will only get a preview.

Moments also displays a search bar to check your friend’s albums, and a “+” to create and share new “moments” from your library. You can add photos to your moments, or delete moments entirely, by tapping on the three-dotted button on the lower right corner.

Moments may not be a groundbreaking app, but it makes sharing photos – that you don’t want anyone to see – with friends a lot easier. The good news is that the app is finally available on the App Store around the world; you just need an iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch with iOS 7 or later.
