Why do tech companies love restricting new features to the United States? English is the foreing language to many countries around the world.
Apple decided to make its news reader app News exclusive to the US when the company launched iOS 9 in September. Now, Twitter comes to prove my point with its new section Moments.
“Moments helps you find the best of Twitter as easily as tapping an icon, regardless of who you follow. Just visit the new tab called Moments, where you will discover stories unfolding on Twitter,” says the microblogging network on a post released few hours ago.
The company goes on to state that “we’re introducing Moments to people in the US across Android, iPhone, and the desktop web.” Don´t worry though. If you live outside the “glorious” United States, you can still enjoy Moments.
Just follow these simple steps:
- Log in to your Twitter account using a desktop browser.
- Tap on your profile picture.
- Click on Settings.
- Change your language to English.
- Change your time zone to Pacific Time, or GMT-7:00.
Refresh your browser to see the following lightning icon next to the “Notifications” section. Remember to update Twitter on your iPhone, iPad or Android device to see the new Moments section.
Moments include a description, images, and videos, and let you “get the whole story at a glance. Did you find this tutorial useful? What do you think of Moments?
