Trailers, Apple’s app that offers that – trailers – is one of the best apps to enjoy movie trailers on iPhone and iPad. The only caveat is that it is only available in the US App Store.
Looking around, I found an app that could work as a replacement. Fandango’s Movieclips is bay far the easiest way to enjoy movie previews on iOS.
Open the app and you will be enjoying movie trailers straight away. Flips your finger from right to left to see which trailers are available.
On the top, you’ll find a search button to look for a specific trailer. If you tap on a trailer, the app will display an AirPlay button to watch the clip on an Apple TV. The share icon lets you send the trailer to your friends of family over iMessage, Twitter, Facebook or email.
There’s even a menu section that separates trailers from upcoming movies and films available right now at cinemas. Most of the clips come with movie info and a related videos section. I say this because some trailers displayed an error message.
Nevertheless, Movieclips’ interface is so slick and simple, and the big carousel image makes trailers stand out more. If you like trailers and hate YouTube ads, you should try Fandango’s trailer app.
Movieclips is available for free on the App Store and requires an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch with iOS 7.1 or later. There´s also an Android version for smartphones and tablets with Android 4.1, and a website for Mac and PC. What do you think of Movieclips?
