Popcorn Time has an app for iPhone and iPad; its installation requires you to download a program to your Mac or PC, and injecting the app to your iOS device through your computer.
The process of installing Popcorn Time, the (in)famous movie service, may feel confusing and overwhelming. Movie Box offers an easier and better alternative to watching free content on iOS, no jailbreak or complex methods necessary.
Movie Box still requires a two-step process: the installation of vShare, a store with a high number or free apps, through Safari, and the download of the actual Movie Box app.
Once you download vShare from Apple´s mobile browser, you will need to head to Profiles, inside the General tab of iOS’ Settings, and trust the developer. Open vShare´s app and search for Movie Box to proceed with the installation.
vShare will ask you for an account; to skip this step just tap on “No account” and install the film app.
You can now enjoy films like Inside Out, Minions, Pixels and Black Mass, to name a few. Movie Box also comes with TV Shows – Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, and the like – and music videos. All for free.
Movie Box has a very friendly user interface and enables you to pick the streaming quality, as well as watch trailers and download films and TV episodes. The app, also available for Android, has a comprehensive catalog (so much larger than Netflix’s) and is available for iOS 6 and above.
What do you think of Movie Box? Is it a real Popcorn Time substitute? Let me know in the comment section.
