Facebook has offered stickers on its mobile Messenger app since April 2013. Until now you could download packs of funny emoticons from the like of Minions, The Hunger Games, and Pusheen, inside the mobile app at no cost.
Today the white-and-blue social network introduced the ability to purchase a set of stickers, but not in a fully official way. To buy packs of stickers, you will have to get out of Messenger and get them through a third party app.
PicoCandy For Messenger, available for free for Android and iOS devices, is divided into three sections, featured, downloaded and paid. Tap on the former to buy a pack of stickers, and make sure you log in with your Facebook credentials, or register, in PicoCandy.
At the moment, most of the stickers cost $0.99, but you can get the packs Precious Moments Fun or Suzy´s Zoo and Friends, for $1.99. To use your purchases on Facebook Messenger, you will have to enable PicoCandy´s third-party keyboard.
On iOS, head to General>Keyboards>Add New Keyboard to select PicoCandy For Messenger; Android users just need to tap on a PicoCandy sticker to be redirected to Facebook Messenger.
I think Facebook should offer sticker purchases in-app, instead of channeling users through third-party apps. Still, now you can add more stickers to your Messenger app.
