Most of the fuss today was focused on the US version of the Google Store offering reduced prices on some products for the holiday season. As it turns out, the UK is benefitting from the transatlantic Christmas rush too.
If you live in Britain and go to the search giant´s online store, you will find deals that will save you a few quids on your e-shopping. Take the Nexus 5X, Google is offering its £399 smartphone with a £35 discount, as well as tossing in a free three-month Play Music subscription saving you an extra £30.
You can also get two second–generation Chromecast dongles for £50, as well as two Chromecast Audio for, you guessed it, £50, to spare £10 in both scenarios. In case you are not familiar with the Chromecast Audio, the device enables you to transform any old speaker into a Wi-Fi music receiver (cool, eh?)
And last but not least, the Moto 360 is now available for £99. That´s a good £50 discount on the first generation smartwatch.
The search giant doesn´t seem to be offering any Christmas deals through its other worldwide stores. The only country, from the 11 where Google is an online retailer that displays a holiday banner, but no discounts at all is Canada.
What do you think of Google´s generosity? Has the Mountain View company gone mad, or are the discounts fairly mild?
