Watch FilmOn live TV channels in the background using iOS picture in picture

Netflix, YouTube and FilmOn are some of the big video apps to lack support for iOS’ background feature, picture in picture. And while you can’t use the latter to watch live TV in a corner and multitask, there’s still one simple trick at your disposal.

Head to FilmOn’s mobile website using Safari. Select a live channel and tap the picture-in-picture button on the frame of the video – it should be on the left side of the resize icon. You will see the broadcast relocate to one of your device´s four corners (it usually moves to upper right-hand corner, but you can drag it with your finger to your selected area.)
