Send secret messages on WhatsApp, Facebook or Twitter, no Snapchat required

Want to send secret messages or messages that self-destruct after a few seconds? Can´t be bothered to sign up to a new social media platform – i.e. Snapchat? You´re in luck: Pronto is here to help you out.

Send secret messages on WhatsApp

Available for free on the Play Store for Android devices, Pronto is a straight-forward tool that lets you send content that disappears after a pre-set amount of time.

After you open Pronto, let the app access your library and camera and tap “Create a new message,” located at the bottom of the screen. Take a video or photo of something – it can be a selfie – and scribble or type a message with the pen and “AA” icons on the top left, respectively. Alternatively, you can also choose a photo or video from your library.

Select the amount of time you want the sender to have access to your message and lock the content to avoid any screenshots.

The yellow arrow on the bottom right corner encrypts your message and generates a link that you can send to all your contacts over Twitter, Facebook, or LinkedIn.

That means you will be able to send secret messages on WhatsApp or any social platform you like, even through your phone´s SMS app.
