Glitché, an iPhone and iPad app to add hip and weird filters to your photos

To kick off the photography section, I would like to talk about an iPhone app I just discovered on the App Store.

Glitché, available for $0.99 for iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch with IOS 7.1 or above, lets you add a different spin to you pictures.

Open the app to see a black screen divided into two sections: Photo and Video. I have to say from the beginning, Video is still a work in progress and Glitché invites you to follow their social networks to get updates on when it will be launched.

From the very moment you choose the Photo option, you’ll be asked to grant access to the content on your device. Once you do, add a picture from your library to start applying awesome filters, that include Glitch, Scan, Invert and Grid (there are 26 filters in total).

Try not to get confused if you apply a filter and nothing happens. You have to tap on the photo area, or tilt your iPhone or iPad to see a change.

Some of the effects have a bar below the photograph area that allow greater control of the modifications. I am talking about Lines, Scene, LCD and PXLGRID.

You can see some of the filters below:

After you apply a filter and edit your creation, you can share it on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram, or save it on your phone. Glitché gives a nice “artsy” effect to your photos. Did you like the app?
