Musixmatch now lets you identify Apple Music tracks and stream lyrics to Apple TV

MusixMatch devices

Musixmatch is now compatible with Apple Music, Apple’s new music streaming service. Musixmatch 5.0.4, with a weight of only 54.4 MB, brings three new features to iOS that I’m sure you will like.

Musixmatch has a new widget for Apple Music. That means you will be able to get the lyrics of the songs playing on Apple Music and see them on iOS 8’s Notification Center.

MusicID helps you find on Apple Music a song that is playing on the radio or TV and you can stream the lyrics of an Apple Music song on an Apple TV.

To add the widget to Notification Center, go to the home of your iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch and drag your finger down from the top to bring the Today section. Press “Edit” at the bottom of the screen and look for to the Musixmatch widget.

The green “+” button adds the widget to Notification Center. Now, play a song on Apple Music to see a pause and forward button and the lyrics. Music ID – an inside feature of Musixmatch – also recognizes Apple Music tracks and displays the lyrics live, as you can see on the next video:

One of the most attracting things of the update is that you can now stream lyrics on the Apple TV.

To do it, turn on your Apple TV and hook your iPad or iPhone to the box. Open Musixmatch on the iOS device, turn on Mirroring on Control Center (just swipe from the bottom of the Home screen up and select “Apple TV”) to see the lyrics of the song playing on your TV.

Now you will be able to karaoke properly. What do you think of the updated Musixmatch?
