WifiMapper helps you find a free Wi-Fi network on your phone

It is getting harder and harder to find a free Wi-Fi connection while in the go. Sometimes networks seem free but ask you for a username and password through a “wall” to connect.

WifiMapper is an app that is here to help you find a truly cost-free Internet connection wherever you are.

The app, available for free for smartphones and tablets with Android 3.0 or above, asks permission to have access to your location (so you feel at ease when it comes to your privacy). Once you grant it, you will see a map and a list of networks around you.

Tap on the network to get information like a password requirement and foursquare comments. If the Wi-Fi connection is falsely displayed as free, you can tap on the “No” bottom to help WifiMapper correct it.

There is also a “Connect” button on the top of the screen that enables easy access to the connection. This way you will not have to exit WifiMapper and head to the Wi-Fi configuration Android to connect.

WifiMapper’s interface is pretty basic but has an appealing design and user-friendly screen. Did you like WifiMapper?
