EA Sports to introduce new game mode in FIFA 17

FIFA 17, James Rodriguez

Today, EA Sports released the second trailer for their upcoming FIFA game revealing more details on new content the next iteration will have. Last year we saw the introduction of the Draft game mode, giving players the chance to play with squads with top-of-the-class,rare and special versions of contemporary players like Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Gareth Bale, Manuel Neuer, and even former legends like Franz Beckenbauer, Pelé, and Deco for just 15 000 Fifa Coins. This year, though, EA is mixing it up by introducing a completely new game mode to the sports game industry; they call it “The Journey”.

The new game mode introduces a sort of “Story Mode” into the FIFA universe, giving players the chance to experience the life of a football player from both the outside and the inside of the pitch. The player will be able to make choices in various situations leading the fictional footballer “Alex Hunter” through the path to becoming a successful football superstar. Every choice made by the player affects the outcome in a way, possibly deciding the fate of the young footballer’s future in a team or even the amount of positive attention gained opening up chances for positions in better teams and higher paychecks.

In addition to the new game mode, FIFA 17 will provide a revamped graphical experience through the FrostBite Engine in order to make FIFA 17 as life-like as possible through beautiful scenery, realistic lighting effects, and photorealistic renditions of football stars.

FIFA 17 will be released on Xbox One, PS4, PC, Xbox 360, and PS3 Tuesday, September 27 in North America and Thursday, September 28 in Europe and the rest of the World. You can watch the second trailer and learn more about FIFA 17 over at EA Sports’ website.
