Choetech wireless charger review [AND SPECIAL GIVEAWAY]

Guys at Choetech sent me a wireless charger to review it. I’ve been using it for over a week with my Galaxy S8 and can tell you it just works.

The Choetech wireless charger has a 120-degrees structure, but you can also put your smartphone horizontally, and it will still charge. I use my Galaxy S8 with a cover, but there’s no need to remove it either to charge the phone.

Choetech supports fast charging on the Galaxy S8; it takes around an hour and a half to get from 40 to a 100 percent. A blue light indicates when the phone has finished charging. (On a specifications note, the Choetech wireless charger comes with a maximum output of 10 watts, weighs 200 grams, and only comes in black.)

To be honest, I wish the Choetech wireless charger was a mat instead of a “vertical” charger, but I have to admit it feels nice just to “sit” the phone to charge instead of having to plug it into the USB-C connector. And as a plus, you can still use the phone while charging, which is pretty convenient.

The Choetech has a special price of MXN 409 or around $20 in Amazon Mexico. It supports fast charging for the Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8+, Galaxy Note 8, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, and Galaxy S6 Edge+; and there is regular wireless charging support for iPhone X, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Nexus 6, and Nexus 5.

The guys at Choetech have been kind enough to give away a Choetech wireless charger or a pair of in-ear headphones to a lucky reader of eliaspelcastre.com.

You have to live in Mexico to be eligible and fill this simple form. We will announce the winner on Monday, April 2, in this same post as an update so make sure you check back, and good luck!

This review was NOT paid by Choetech; we just got the product and decided to try it.
